Review: Better Than Chocolate

Thanks to the amazing folks at Eden Fantasies I’m back with another amazingly unique, high tech, powerful, fun, discreet and extremely comfortable product to review. Again, a big thanks goes out to Eden Fantasies for getting me a product I’ve been dying to see in action.

The first thing that impressed me with the Better Than Chocolate was the discreet packaging it comes with; there is nothing on it that screams “sex”, no nudity, brash sexual referencing or anything that would make it otherwise seem like a “cheap” toy. Instead the packaging is professional, feminine, pretty, respectful and “designer” in feel.

As for the stats the Better Than Chocolate has a hard plastic body and is coated in a body safe, hypoallergenic, phthalate-free, non toxic and latex free thermoplastic elastomer that’s very soft, almost velvety, to the touch.

For a clitoral stimulator it is quite a bit larger then the traditional bullet/pocket rocket style vibrators, but having a larger surface area for stimulation is part of what makes it so amazing! From top to bottom the Better Than Chocolate measuress 4 ¼ inches in length and 2 ½ inches wide at it’s biggest point.

That said, this is a product not meant for insertion. Instead it’s designed for clitoral stimulation or to stimulate the entire vulva with the way it comfortably hugs the area. It may also be used to stimulate other erogenous zones like the inner thigh, nipples, perineum, testicles or any other area of the body that brings a heightened state of arousal.

For those of you that aren’t “technically gifted”, operating the Better Than Chocolate might seem a bit confusing at first. I myself am NOT “technically gifted” and quickly needed to resort to the instruction manual, so if you do too, don’t feel bad. That said, I have to admit, once I figured it out it was probably one of the coolest clitoral stimulators I had ever laid my fingers on.

To turn on the Better Than Chocolate just push the button located near the bottom. If you have inserted the batteries properly, the light inside the touch activated sensor should turn on to indicate that it’s functioning.

Once on the product will start at a very powerful, yet very quiet vibration. If the vibration isn’t enough, just simply run your finger upwards on the touch activated sensor (that’s right a touch activated sensor!!) and it will run at a higher speed. To continually turn up the speed just keep running your finger upwards on the sensor. Eventually it will max out at its highest speed, leaving you unable to turn it up more. To turn it down just run your finger down the touch activated sensor and it will run at a lower speed. It’s actually very easy to operate!

Now for my favorite part of the Better Than Chocolate; to run through the vibrational settings the product has to offer gently hold your finger on the light for 2 seconds and it should change to a pulsation mode. To adjust the speed run your finger up or down on the sensor. Once you’ve found a setting you like hold your finger on the top end of the sensor for 2 seconds. The light should change from blue to red letting you know that the current speed has been locked. Now, no matter what you do, the speed/vibration will remain at that setting. It’s an amazing feature for those of you that have a problem with accidentally hitting a button and changing the setting, totally disrupting your orgasm.

To unlock the setting just hold your finger on the top for 2 seconds, the light will once again turn blue letting you know you can adjust the speeds to your liking. Pretty damn cool if you ask me! 😀

To turn it off at anytime just press the bottom button (the one that you used to turn it on) once. Again, I have to say I love that it has an easy off function for those of you that need one.

The Better Than Chocolate requires 2 AAA batteries that can be inserted rather easily; just unscrew the bottom cap, pop the batteries in, screw the cap back on and you’re good to go. As always, when your toy isn’t in use make sure to remove the batteries as they could corrode and kill your toy…trust me, you don’t want to kill your Better Than Chocolate.

In regard to lubricants, since it’s not a silicone toy you can use either a water based or silicone lube like the ones that System Jo has to offer and there shouldn’t be any negative reactions with the product.

As for cleaning and care, since it’s waterproof up to 1 meter (which is great for those of you that like to make bath time fun) it can be washed with a mild soap and water or sprayed with toy cleaner and left to air dry.

Storing the product is discreet and easy; it comes with a small box that is not only pretty, but also provides a safe place to keep it when not in use. If you didn’t want to use the box, the Better Than Chocolate also comes with a velvety case that fits the product perfectly.

When it came to negatives about the Better Than Chocolate I’ll be honest…it was rather hard for me to find one. The Better Than Chocolate fits better in my hand and body then most other clitoral stimulators I’ve tried. It’s made of a body safe and easy to care for material. It’s compatible with any lube. It’s nearly silent, a rare find for a vibe! It has a variety of vibrational settings, with the ability to lock them in place – something I LOVE! It has a shape and design that makes it very discreet, if someone saw it they wouldn’t know what it was. It’s waterproof up to 1 meter, is very reasonably priced for the value and has a 1 year warranty. What more could a person ask for?

All of that said, the only one that I could find was that the power isn’t the strongest, even on its highest setting. However, you also have to keep in mind that I see numerous toys and feel the need to compare everything to products like the Hitachi Magic Wand or Fairy Mini, which for some people are actually too strong. In my own opinion, I think this would be perfect for those of you that need a good solid vibe but one that doesn’t have the same powerful capabilities of something like the Fairy Mini.

All in all I think the Better Than Chocolate is a revolutionary, easy to use, light weight, discreet, fun and very comfortable clitoral stimulator that I think pretty much any woman would love. Again, a big thank you goes out to the folks at Eden Fantasies, not only did they send me great products to review but some of my newest personal favourites!

If you would like any info or to purchase the Better Than Chocolate it can be found at Eden Fantasys for a very reasonable price, especially considering the quality and power of product you’re getting!

Remember guys, if you support me and what I do please also support the sponsors. The more you support them, the more willing they will be to support me and send such fantastic products my way…without them, I have no way of showing you what’s worthy of your time and hard earned cash. Trust me, I know just how much crap there in on the market…gems like the Better Than Chocolate are few and far between!

Review: The Fairy Mini

The Fairy Mini has quickly become one of my favorite toys for a few basic reasons,  it’s easy to use, not at all intimidating, light weight, feminine, has multiple speeds and for it’s little size is a very, very powerful hand held massager.

The Good

For those of you that watch my videos you should know that I’m a big fan of another very popular hand held massager – the Hitachi Magic Wand…well, I hate to say it and I really didn’t want to have to make any comparisons but I think my lovely Hitachi may have found some competition in the Fairy Mini and I’ll tell you why…

1.) At only 9.74 inches in the length the Fairy Mini is much smaller then the Hitachi Magic Wand’s 12”. I’ll admit that doesn’t sound like a very big difference, but when held side by side it really is.

2.)The Fairy Mini is much lighter (only 1lb) then the Hitachi Magic Wand (1.28lbs) which again wouldn’t seem like much, but when held at the same time is quite a noticeable difference.

3.) If there is one thing I like in a product it’s a multiple of settings, that said the Hitachi Magic Wand only has 2; a high (6000 rpm) and low (5000rpm).  On the other hand the Fairy Mini has a dial that allows you to adjust the vibrations from a very low rumble to a very high powered, intense and sensational vibe. Personally, I think the vibrations of the Fairy Mini are more powerful then the Hitachi, but unfortunately I couldn’t find a site online that verified that. From my experience, I will assume that the change in intensity is due to the smaller head of the Fairy Mini rather then the actual rpm’s it has to offer *if someone knows the actual rpm’s please feel free to post them.

Also on that note, what I like about the adjustable dial is that it makes the product usable by pretty much anyone; whether you need a very strong, intense vibration, a low rumble, or something in the middle this product has a speed for you.

All of that said,  if you currently own a Hitachi Magic Wand and are happy with the results you’re getting then stick with it. It is a fantastic product that has proved year after year to be a consumer favourite for a multiple of reasons! However, if you don’t yet own a hand held massager and are debating between the two I think that due to the benefits listed above the Fairy Mini is the way to go.

Everywhere I seem to look adult novelties are going wireless, a great feature but one that leaves you with the possibility of a product wearing out before you reach orgasm…which lets admit, can be most aggravating!  One of the great things with the Fairy Mini is that it gets plugged into the wall so you never have  to worry about it running out on you in the heat of the moment, or failing you on the way from a (arousal) to b (bliss).

In regard to the uses, the Fairy Mini with it’s adjustable dial can be used for a very relaxing or intense massage that helps relieve the tension of sore and aching muscles. As someone who suffers from chronic back/shoulder pain I can honestly say a powerful hand held massager can work wonders!!

Aside from that, the Fairy Mini can be used during foreplay to tease and/or taunt partners into a  heightened state of arousal. Once both parties are ready the Fairy Mini can be placed between partners, bringing both stimulation and excitement during intercourse.

And finally, the Fairy Mini can be used by either a male or female for stimulation of the genitals, nipples, and/or any other area of the body that brings excitement and amazing orgasms.

Operating Instructions

Using the Fairy Mini is actually very, very easy;  just roll the dial (located on the front) to the setting you personally like, relax and enjoy. It’s that simple! To turn it off just roll the dial up towards the head until it clicks off. On that note, I have to admit that I love that it has an easy “off” setting, especially for people that need one due to sharing a room or nosey roommates that forget to knock before entering.

*One thing I want to make very clear (just to keep you safe) is that since the Fairy Mini is a product that requires being plugged into an outlet it is not a product that is meant for insertion, i.e. do not put it in any orifice whether it be a vagina or anus. If you do the results could be potentially dangerous. Always remember, the Fairy Mini, like any other product that needs to be plugged in is meant for external stimulation ONLY!

That said, it’s also not meant for use in the shower, bath, pool, hot tub, jacuzzi, steam room or any other scenario that requires submersion into a large amount of water…if it gets moist due to personal wetness or lubricant that is one thing, but a water filled environment is another story. Be smart and play safe!

Care & Cleaning

As for cleaning, just run a damp clean cloth over the surface or spray it with a good anti bacterial toy cleaner and let it air dry.

The Bad

In regard to any negative features of the product, the only ones I could think of were that the head of the Fairy Mini is made of a hard plastic, rather then the softer cushioned head of some other hand held massagers. To be honest, it’s really not that big of a deal, I’m just nit picking.

Aside from that it is a tad loud on its highest setting, creating a very high pitched squeel. If that’s something your worried about you can always muffle it slightly with a pillow, but again I’m just trying to find faults where there are few.

Final Verdict

Taking everything into consideration, I think the Fairy Mini is a fantastic product that is easy to use, light weight, powerful and amazing at relieving sore aching muscles or bringing you to a quick climax.

Review: The Bathmate Goliath Penis Pump

Before I make any suggestions I want to make it abundantly clear that very rarely would I ever support a penis pump as I believe that you have what you were born with and you just need to work with it… however, I also understand that no matter what I say, you will go out and buy a pump anyways… and if your going to do that, you might as well get one that works and is worth the money!

Thanks to the amazing guys at Bathmate I was sent one of their NEW BathMate Goliath pumps (a much larger version than the original) so that I could do a follow up Bathmate penis pump review of a product that I covered last year, the Bathmate Hercules Pump.

After reviewing the Bathmate Hercules Pump (which is the original one) I was messaged quite a bit from my male viewers in regard to their experiences with the product and what they thought of it;

  • About 80% of the reviews that came in said it worked in regard to gaining girth and/or length and/or consistently making them hard. But what surprised me most, was that from all of the positive reviews I received, I continually heard the same things over and over; how easy it was to use, that is was very comfortable, well made, and easy to care for. A lot of the males that messaged me also said that it easily became part of their routine and that they would recommend it to a friend. I will be honest, without their feedback, I might not have been so willing to get my hands on the new Goliath.
  • The other 20% was a combination of messages saying it was too small (so they didn’t use it), it didn’t work as quickly as they hoped so they quit using it, or they just didn’t have the time or commitment to keep up with it to see if it worked.

That said, just like any other product on the market, what might work for one person might not work for another, and in a market flooded with over a million products, it’s to be expected. That in mind, due to its ease and flexibility of use, durability, and following through in delivering results, I will still approve and stand behind it. Yes, I know I’m penisless and therefore can’t make a claim based on personal experience, but I also don’t think it’s a good idea to discredit others who have had positive results.

Bathmate OriginalsMisc Info

The BathMate Goliath Penis Pump is a much larger (in both length and girth) and heavier version of the original BathMate Hercules. As for the stats, Hercules is roughly 11′ inches in length whereas the Goliath is roughly 13′ inches in length, the Hercules is roughly 8′ inches around whereas the Goliath is roughly 10′ inches around.

So, for anyone that is above average in size I would suggest the Goliath, for those that are average or below I would suggest the Hercules. Please keep in mind that just because one of them is bigger it doesn’t mean that it works better. The Goliath works in the exact same way as the original, it’s just made to fit a larger sized penis.

The Good

Like the original Bathmate Hercules, I love this product for quite a few reasons;

  •  you don’t have to buy any extra parts to make it work. What you see is what you get and it’s pretty much all you need.
  • it comes with a full money back guarantee. Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of products on the market (at least in the adult novelty industry) that offer that, so to have a company stand behind their product in that way really does say something.
  • unlike other penis pumps that use a hand held device or a trigger system to create suction, this pump is very, very easy to use and doesn’t have anything frustrating, annoying or tiring about it.
  • constructed of durable Polycarbonate, skin safe rubber, and stainless steel materials, the Bathmate is built to last. (it is also body safe)
  • when used consistently, properly, and on a regular basis, just like working any other muscle in the body, results will be seen. But that’s the whole success of its effectiveness; using it properly and on a regular basis and not going overboard.

Bathmate Penis PumpInstructions

As for using it properly there are three ways to go; in the bath, in the shower or with air.

For use with water:

Once you’re relaxed and feel comfortable fill your Bathmate with water from the tub or shower. Tuck your balls out of the way so that they don’t get accidentally get sucked in and insert your flaccid penis.

*I know some people say they like to use it while erect, personally I think it’s safer to use it when your flaccid so that’s what I suggest.

Once you’re comfortably inside the chamber press the rubber base against your body and give it a few good pumps. Keep doing this until you feel a vacuum from inside. When you can’t pump anymore stop and relax for 15 to 20 minutes. After the directed time is up just press the pressure release valve located on the top to break the suction and you can safely remove it. Pretty simple right?

For use with air:

If you wanted to use the Bathmate with air instead of water, it’s the exact same steps. That said, I have personally seen the best results from someone who used it during the shower and bath, so that’s what I would recommend.

Care & Cleaning

As for cleaning, the company sells accessories to help you keep it clean like a cleaning sponge and handle to get down into the product where you can’t reach and Sterilizing Tablets to help disinfect it. If you don’t want to spend the money on those you can always just wash it with mild soap and water. That however can leave a film or residue on the product so I would suggest antibacterial toy cleaner.

FAQ’s

Now there are a few things that you may experience that I’d like to point out just so you’re familiar with them and don’t think there’s something wrong;

  • if you notice that you start to get an erection while you’re using it don’t worry that’s normal and to be expected. You are after all drawing blood into your penis, just like when you get aroused and get an erection.
  • pain does not equal gain. If you notice that it starts to hurt at any time just push the pressure release valve on the top which will break the vacuum seal and allow you to safely and comfortably remove it.
  • if you notice that the vacuum is not quite as strong (which usually happens after 5-7 minutes) just give it another pump to release more water and allow for a greater suction.
  • if you notice that water squirts from the top while you pump don’t be alarmed, it’s supposed to do that.

Bathmate Penis Pump - GoliathExperiences & Results

In regard to the actual gains a person can expect; I gave 2 Bathmate Hercules pumps to 2 different friends and had another friend use the Bathmate Goliath.

Hercules users:

The first person said that every time he used the Hercules he got rock hard erections and because of that, never used it for anything but intercourse. He said he tried to use it daily but since he was happy with his size he didn’t really care to see any special results. When I asked him if he would recommend it he said yes, but that he couldn’t offer input on size gain, only erections, since that was what he liked about it and used it for.

The second person, who also used the original Hercules pump, used it daily for the directed amount of time (which is 15 – 20 minutes) and after 5 months said he noticed he was roughly an inch longer. He said that it was easy enough to use and very conveniently became part of his morning routine. While his results were pretty good, you have to keep in mind that he used it daily, put in the time and used it properly. Other than the size difference, he also said he was able to achieve harder erections both when he was aroused and during intercourse.

Goliath user:

The third person (who used the Goliath) used it roughly every 2 days for only 10 minutes and said that at the end of 2 months he noticed a difference in girth, as well as rock hard erections, but only a very small difference in length. He said that he enjoyed the way it felt and used it on a few occasions as a masturbation device. When I asked him if he would recommend it he said yes, but that he would have rather used the original Hercules pump, as he found the Goliath to be a bit large for him and therefor a little bulky.

Overall experiences:

That said, the pump is going to work differently for different people and if you want to see lasting results you have to treat it the same way you would weight lifting or exercising;  if you go to the gym once you can’t expect to see big muscles or lasting results, you have to go everyday, be dedicated, and know what your doing so that you do it properly and can get the results you want.

Contrary to what most companies would have you believe, penis pumps aren’t a one time magical cure that’s going to solve your problems over night… it takes work, time and dedication. Remember that.

Warnings!

As for any precautions you should take:

  • if you are under the age of full development I DO NOT suggest that you use this product as your body is still growing and stretching.
  • this is not a cure or a treatment.
  • although this is a safe product, you should make sure that you follow the instructions carefully.
  • it should be stored and kept away from children.
  • consult your doctor before using the product if you suffer from any physical penile conditions.
  • Do not use if you have recently had surgery in this area or if you suffer any discomfort prior or after first use.”

Final Verdict

In my personal opinion, I think it’s a great product for those who are having problems achieving an erection or maintaining one, more so then for those that want help when it comes to gaining in size. I do realize that the company would rather sell it as a size increasing product but hearing male after male tell me that it was great for achieving erections, hard ones at that, why fight it?

For those of you that are interested in purchasing any of the Bathmate line of products you can do so safely either through ShopSexEd102.com (my online store) or the Bathmate website.

Review: Remote Pillow

Thanks to one amazing lady at SexToy.com I’m very happy to offer a product I think pretty much anyone would love, the Remote Pillow.

The Remote Pillow is a discreet, plush, soft (velvety in feel), remote controlled vibrating pillow. That’s right, a remote controlled vibrating pillow!! What will they think of next?

The Good

Before I go into the stats of the product I just want to list the things I personally think it’s fantastic for:

1.) By mounting the Remote Pillow and grinding on the vibrator a female can figure out what she likes and dislikes and learn how to achieve a clitoral orgasm when having intercourse while in the riding or cowgirl position.

2.)Have a bad lower back or other muscle problems? the Remote Pillow is amazing for helping to relax the muscles and lessen the tension. Trust me, it has done wonders for me (don’t pun that)

3.) Since the internal vibrator is removable you can take it out and use it for your own personal stimulation or as a massager when your on the go.

4.) Finally, with a remote that reaches 15ft you can engage in some pretty fun foreplay whether at a distance or up close.

Like the rest of the remote controlled products on the market, I have say that one of my favourite things is that they allow a greater freedom of movement. Rather then having to reach down to try to find a button, you just push a button no matter where your hand is, making you able to reach a climax without interruption or discomfort.

As for the stats; the Pillow is 12 x 12 inches in size and is velvety soft. If you don’t like the heart design the pillow comes with, I’m sure you could find a suitable pillow cover to put over top if you wanted to. Personally, I think it’s adorable.

Part of what makes the Remote Pillow different from the rest is that rather than using a loop or simple elastic to hold a vibrator in place, the Remote Pillow has its own vinyl pocket where the vibe will snugly fit to stop it from moving or shifting around, something that has been a problem with other pillows I’ve seen.

As for the insertable vibe, it measures just over 3 and a half inches in length and is roughly 4 inches around. While it could be inserted vaginally and has a string for easy removal, I think it’s much better designed for clitoral stimulation because there are seams on it, both on the top and the bottom, that could make it uncomfortable.

In regard to the remote it is quite small and is very discreet. If someone found it they would have no clue what it was for and probably assume it was something for a car.

As I said earlier the vibrator can be used either with or without the remote;

*If you wanted to use it without the remote just press the function button located near the bottom to turn it on and then again to cycle through the 10 different settings. It is very easy to use.

*If you wanted to use it with the remote – put the switch on the remote into the on setting then hit the function key to run through the 10 different settings. Its that simple.

On the topic of batteries the Remote Pillow requires one 23A 12 volt battery for the remote, for those of you not sure where you get them I suggest you check an electronics or watch store. As for the vibrator it requires 2 AAA batteries.

Care & Cleaning

In regard to cleaning, the pillow casing is washable just use cold water and lay flat to dry so that it doesn’t bleed or shrink. As for the vibrator, just give it a good wash with mild soap and water or you could use an antibacterial toy cleaner if you wanted. It’s a hard, non porous plastic so it’s not absorbent and wont retain any bacteria. When it comes to the remote, just use a damp clean cloth to wipe it off. Keep in mind it’s not waterproof so I don’t suggest you wash it.

The Bad

In my opinion, the only downfall with the product is that you have to run through the settings to turn it off. If it had a simple on/off button that would have made it better, but it’s really not that big of a deal.

Final Verdict

That said I still think the Remote Pillow is a fantastic product for anyone considering it can be used for massage or muscle relief, a teaching tool, foreplay, has a range of 15ft, can be used with or without the remote, is discreet, body safe, is easy to use and not at all intimidating.

For those of you interested the Remote Pillow can be purchased safely and discretely from SexToy.com where you’ll find a large selection of Vibrators and other great Sex Toys.

Vaginal Hygiene: How To Clean Your Vulva & Vagina

Before I get started please understand everyone born with a vagina has their own chemistry and hormones that contribute to the way they smell and taste. Regardless of how healthy they eat, how much time they spend scrubbing their genitals, or the choices they make both in and out of the bedroom, they are going to have their own unique scent. That’s just how it goes.

As for my suggestions, first and foremost: Douching doesn’t help. The vagina is not meant to be flushed with harsh chemicals or detergents. That’s probably the WORST thing anyone could suggest they do.

I’m pretty sure this is probably the first time you’ve heard that, so let me explain how things work…

The vagina has a naturally acidic pH level (healthy vaginal pH sits around 3.8 to 4.5 out of 14) that takes care of all the bad bacteria via discharge – fluid from glands inside the vagina and cervix – which carries away dead cells and bacteria, keeping the vagina clean and helping to prevent infection. When a person douches they wash away both the good and bad bacteria. Now with the good bacteria removed, the vagina is a perfect environment for the bad bacteria that enters to take over and run rampant.

With that in mind, they don’t need to use heavy soaps, detergents, creams, cloths, or sprays. Mild soap and water will suffice for external cleaning of the vulva.

My second suggestion is to bring up the option of 100% cotton underwear as it will allow the body to breathe and reduce the amount of sweat present, which will also hopefully result in less of a vaginal odor. Aside from that, it would be a good idea to limit the amount of tight synthetic material, thongs, and g-strings worn as they trap bacteria and can bring on the potential for infection.

If you use deodorant on your vulva and/or vagina I suggest you stop. That, like douching, can equal a recipe for disaster; the body sweats for a reason. By applying deodorant to the vulva/vagina they can not only increase the chance of infection, but also confuse the body and force it to overcompensate in other ways.

I’d also suggest seeing a doctor as the cause of the smell might be due to an infection like bacterial vaginosis (caused by an imbalance of naturally occurring bacterial flora).

Some common causes of Bacterial Vaginosis

  • Douching – using water or a medicated solution to clean the vagina
  • Having a bath with antiseptic liquids
  • Having a new sex partner
  • Having multiple sex partners
  • Perfumed bubble baths and some scented soaps
  • Smoking
  • Using an IUD (intrauterine device), such as a contraceptive device made from plastic and copper that fits inside the uterus
  • Using vaginal deodorants
  • Washing underwear with strong detergents or change of laundry detergent

Among other natural causes, Bacterial Vaginosis may occur from semen entering the vagina and throwing off the natural pH balance. That said, if you’ve been having unprotected sex, stop. After your partner has seen a doctor and knows that they’re free and clear of an infection, or has been successfully treated for one, go back to using condoms to limit the semen that comes into contact with the vagina (unless your trying to conceive of course).

Vaginal Hygiene: How To Talk To Your Partner

The last thing I want to mention on this topic is that the way that you choose to discuss it and the words you choose to use will have a direct impact on your partner as a person and a lover;  if you go to them in a loving way, with kind words, the offer to help, and be willing to learn all that you can (even possibly help pay for medication or cotton undies), they will be more willing to oblige and attempt to “fix the problem”.

Contrarily, if you go at your partner in an angry, disgusted, frustrated, turned off, embarrassed or rude manner, I can pretty much guarantee that you will not only offend and hurt them, but also create a situation where they feel embarrassed and ashamed of their vulva/vagina and in turn, their sexuality. They will think of the vagina as “dirty”, “gross”, or “shameful”, and likely not want to put out… and when they do, they will be less than enthusiastic and probably wont enjoy it very much. Trust me, I hear it all the time.

On that note, please also try to understand that for most, their vulva/vagina is a very touchy subject. Many people are raised in a society that teaches us to believe that our sexuality, body parts, and sex itself, are things we shouldn’t speak about and should hide away from others;

  • we are taught to use words like “private parts” in reference to our genitals, a seemingly innocent choice of wording that only further instills this belief.
  • depending on the culture a female has been raised, she could be taught to think that her vagina is “foul”, “disgusting”, “gross”, “dirty”, “nasty”, and all those other words associated with the things we shouldn’t want to touch or talk about.
  • daily we are bombarded by mainstream media promoting products that “help” women to feel “fresh”, “clean”, and smell like “flowers” or “summer rain”. These companies do nothing more then make millions by continually misleading the mass viewing public and cause unknowing females to believe that their vaginas are not self cleaning and instead shouldn’t smell the way they do.

Basically, the vulva/vagina is something that not very many women are comfortable talking about… let alone their own genitals.

Be conscious and conscientious with your choice in wording and how to choose to deal with the situation, and understand that by bringing it up you could be hitting a really vulnerable issue for your partner.

If your relationship is important to you, I suggest that you take the time necessary to understand the way the female body works and learn as much as you can. Unfortunately, due to the corporations that solely exist to make society think vaginas are “dirty”, we are taught to think that there is really only one option, when instead, there are many.

I hope that this helps you understand that there is nothing wrong with your partner or the way they smell and provided you with options to think about.
