Male Sexual Enhancement Products: Ointments, Creams, & Sprays

male enhancemet productsIf you find that none of the natural methods work, or that cock rings just aren’t your thing, you may want to look into the option of topical ointments. Not only are they usually affordable, but many of them are easy to apply, safe for use with latex (condoms), have a limited span of time in which they’re ‘active’, and come with few side effects.

Whether it’s a cream, balm, spray, brush on liquid or otherwise, each of these products usually work by numbing the area and limiting the amount of stimulation the person in question experiences. Since every body is different, some will work and some won’t. The key is to not judge them all by the same measuring stick and instead experiment with the various options available until you get the desired results. Below I’ve listed some of the different products on the market along with a mini review of each one.

Warning: Because these products work by numbing the area it’s advised that you pay close attention to what you’re doing at all times. Any time you can’t feel yourself, or your partner, there is a risk of unintentionally hurting yourself or them.  While I’d advise products like this for external use (clitoris, penis) I would NOT suggest them for use internally, whether it’s vaginal or anal. If you want to use something for those purposes you’re better off getting a product that either relaxes the area or enhances sensation.  On that note, it’s always better to use the amount specified on the directions – using more doesn’t always mean you’re going to get better results. Lastly, if you’ve decided to use a condom as your form of protection, it’s a good idea to stop every so often and make sure the condom is still intact/on… if you’re numb you likely won’t be able to tell if it’s ripped or has come off.

Big thanks to the folks at PinkCherry.com for sending all the products my way! Without them, a post with this much info would not have been possible!

The Reviews

*Since I don’t have a penis to try these products on, I’ve enlisted the help of some very close friends who’s opinions and feedback I trust.  Names have been omitted out of respect for privacy.

China Brush Male Sexual Enhancement: China Brush($12.99 – $19.99)

When it comes to products I’m continually asked about Suifan’s Kwang Tze Solution, a.k.a. “Tiny China”, “Old Man” or as it’s more commonly known, China Brush, is most definitely one of them.

The watery brown liquid comes in a tiny 3ml sized bottle with limited info on the packaging and an almost complete lack of info on the bottle. If you’re worried someone might find it and know you’re using a dick ointment to last longer, I think you should be fine.

china brushPersonal Experience

My tester applied the product as directed – a small (and I mean small) amount under and around the sides of the glans (head) of his penis, the same small amount on the shaft, then sat back and waited. At first he said there was no real sensation, just a slight warming so he added more.  After about 5 minutes he said there was a hot and cold sensation that felt slightly like  he had put A535 on his dick (no erection).  After another 10 minutes he said it felt warm, not as cool, and started to go numb (only a slight erection). After a half hours time he said he didn’t feel much so he decided to add another product for effect… BAD IDEA!!! From there the ‘experiment’ went south, as did any hope of an erection.

To put it in his words (this is going to be potentially inappropriate – just know I gave you fair warning)

You know the day after you eat really spicy chicken wings and use the can and your ass hurts after? You know, like you shat a hot pepper? Well yeah, that’s what the tip of my dick felt like.

Let that be a lesson to all of you, unless you know what your doing and how things work, do not mix them or add more!

After the experience he got up the balls to try the product again, this time in a smaller amount and only applied it once. He said it felt the same way at first but after about an hour the discomfort had subsided and left him feeling numb but aroused.  Intercourse felt slightly different, with the shaft of his penis being far more sensitive and the head being less so. The orgasm was also more intense, though he “wasn’t quite sure of timing the shot” as the tip of his dick was numb (I’ll admit, that last bit had me laughing uncontrollably at the visuals).

Ingredients: Fructus Cnidi (Carrot family), Cortex Cinnamomi (Cinnamon Bark),  Flos Caryophylli (Clove), Rhizoma Alpiniae Officinarium, Rhizoma Atractylodes, Pericarpium Zanthoxyli, Radix Angelicae Dahurica, Rice Wine

Instructions:

Application is rather simple, unscrew the cap and use the cotton swab (that’s attached) to apply a thin amount around the head of the penis and wait.  Based on various opinions I’ve heard it’s best to wait anywhere from a half hour to an hour before engaging in intercourse. If you don’t notice anything within the first 20 minutes DO NOT ADD MORE. Instead wait for it to take affect. If you use too much too soon you might not have a very good experience.

*Note: it will not desensitize your partner should they come into contact with it.

In regard to how it works I have to be honest, I’m not exactly sure. Having said that, all of the ingredients are natural and have been known to aid in various ways; some work at numbing the skin (clove – Flos Caryophylli), others relax muscles and increase nitric oxide release (Fructus Cnidi), while others increase blood flow (cinnamon – Cortex Cinnamomi). From the sounds of it, there’s quite a bit going on here.

Final Verdict: Smelling like an old ancient medicine and packing one hell of a punch, China Brush is a product you’ll want to use in small doses as using too much can often lead to pain, discomfort and the inability to achieve an orgasm. However if you follow the directions, don’t mix products and give it the time it needs to ‘set in’ (as per his second time around) the experience should be far more pleasurable.

Rating: 3.75 out of 5 stars (deductions for the lack of detailed instructions and ability to cause an experience known as ‘hot pepper dick‘.  His words, not mine).

Stud 100 ($14.99 – $24.99)

If there is one male enhancement spray that’s managed to last the test of time I’d have to say it’s the quick acting male genital desensitizer Stud 100.  Available in 60 Countries and sold for over 20 years, with over 21 million sold world wide, this is a product that’s staying power has never failed to amaze me.

For those of you wondering how it works, Stud 100 spray contains 9.6% Lidocaine (a very effective local anesthetic used in many products) that delays ejaculation and orgasm by temporarily reducing the sensitivity of the penis. Basically put, it numbs your dick.

Male Sexual Enhancement: Stud 100Personal Experience

My tester applied 3 sprays and waited about 10 minutes then flicked the head of his dick to see if it was numb, being that he could still feel it, he applied another 5 sprays (taking him to the 8 that’s suggested).

After another 10 minutes he said there was almost no feeling so he put a condom on and went for it. He said he usually reaches an orgasm and ejaculates in about 10 – 20 minutes, but due to the numbing of his member he was able to go for about a half hour before reaching an orgasm.

When I asked him if anything was different that may have affected his experience (i.e. the mood, person involved, space etc), he said it was the same person he’s been sleeping with for some time and it was a situation and place that wouldn’t have changed the impact. In an attempt to make sure it wasn’t just a ‘one off’ I asked him to try it again – he happily obliged and followed the same steps as previously mentioned, leading to the same results.  When I asked him if there were any side effects he didn’t expect, he said that it felt weird when he peed for about a half hour after (probably because he was numb), but that was about it.

*Just keep in mind that there are warnings and cautions to keep in mind like not applying on broken skin, exceeding the suggested amount in a 24 hour time span, not applying internally or ingesting, limiting the use if a rash or irritation develops etc. Pretty standard warnings if you ask me.

The Bad

When it came to things that I didn’t really like there was only one – the packaging. While there is nothing on it that’s rude, inappropriate, tacky or cheesy, it’s by no means discreet; plastered on the front of the box (and spray bottle) are the words “Male Genital Desensitizer“. For as much as I’ll tell you there’s nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed of, I know there are many of you that would be mortified if someone happened to come across it. Having said that, keep in mind that it is a small bottle that would be easily stored and hidden inside another container or drawer.

Instructions:

Applying the product is very simple; spray between 3 and 8 pumps of the clear liquid on the penis 5 to 15 minutes before intercourse, give it a chance to kick in, and when the penis begins to feel numb, you’re good to go.

*Note: the amount used will depend on a persons personal needs, but for the most part 5 pumps should do it. Unlike China Brush, this can potentially numb your partner(s).

The Good

Fortunately Stud 100 has much to offer as it’s non-toxic, odorless (for the most part there’s no scent, just a slight minty undertone), ozone friendly, easy to apply, has little to no negative side effects, begins to work within 3 – 5 minutes and can be used with latex condoms.  Just keep in mind that you’ll need to give it time to ‘set’ before you let your partner give you a blow job – yes, it can and does also numb the mouth.

Final Verdict: Considering that this is a product that actually does what it says it does, at an affordable price, with an ease of application and limited negative side effects, it’s definitely one I would suggest trying.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rocket BalmMale Sexual Enhancement: Sprays, Oils, & Creams ($13.99 – $15.99)

For those of you looking for a balm, rather than a spray or liquid, the tingling sensation provided by the ‘all natural’ Rocket Balm is one you won’t want to over look.

One of the things I love about this product is the fact that it’s basically all natural and doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals or cheap fillers. When it comes to the list of ingredients there’s only 10 – all of which are derived from ‘natural’ sources and are things you’d likely find in a massage oil or candle: almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, menthol, peppermint oil, methyl paraben, bht, ginseng, wild oat extract – that’s it.

*Because it contains natural oils it is NOT compatible with latex, if you’re going to use this for intercourse make sure you have another method of protection available.

Male Sexual Enhancement: Rocket Balm For HimPersonal Experience

After the experiences he had with the other products he went easy on the Rocket Balm and only applied a very small amount to the shaft of his penis. He said he could feel the tingly and warm sensation almost instantly, but that it didn’t burn, hurt, sting or irritate like he expected. He said that although it didn’t really do much by way of numbing or delaying his orgasm/ejaculation, that it did actually help him maintain a certain level of arousal simply because it was such an interesting sensation. When I asked him what he thought of the product over all he said it was one he’d try again and was very pleased with the results – I guess 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

The Good

The packaging (pictured left) is respectful and professional, while also being fun and playful. Other than the word “orgasm” written on the back of the box there isn’t much to worry about. Out of the box you’ll find a silver tin with stickers on the front and back, the front being like the circular design pictured left and the back offering information on how to use it and the ingredients.

This smooth and creamy balm has an opaque white appearance when in the tin (due to the large amount) but glides on clear during application. It’s by no means runny, fluid or chunky and warms wonderfully, allowing it to spread very well over the skin, absorbing quickly and leaving you soft and supple. There’s a minty scent that’s fresh but sweet (it reminds me of spearmint gum and tastes like it too) with a slight hint of coconut – unlike like the China Brush which had a horrible medicinal scent and taste to it.

Instructions

Applying the product is very easy, just slide your fingers over the top of the balm and gently massage a small amount onto the desired area (shaft, head of the penis, testis etc) until it’s fully absorbed. Almost instantly you’ll notice a slight warm and tingling sensation that’s arousing and heightens any stimulation received.

*Note: like any other product, if an irritation, rash or a burning sensation occurs discontinue using it and wash the area well – cool water is usually best.

Final Verdict: When it comes to making purchases that are in alignment with being eco-friendly and ‘all natural’, Rocket Balm has both bases covered. Aside from also being affordable and discreet, it does exactly what it says it will – without some of the nasty side effects my poor tester previously experienced.

Rating: 4.75 stars out of 5 (deduction because it really doesn’t taste that great and isn’t latex compatible).

Trojan Condoms ExtendedSpecially Lubricated Condoms ($10.29 – $12.99)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the best kind of sex is safe sex – and yes, I really do mean that! There is nothing worse than finishing an amazing session and being terrified you may be pregnant or have contracted an STD (I hear it all the time). Having said that, one of the best options available for male enhancement is one that mixes pleasure and safety, allowing you to play to your hearts content without all the worry that sometimes comes with it (assuming you’re using condoms correctly).

Although there are many condoms on the market that offer this type of option, one of the best I’ve come across is the Durex Performax  or Trojan Extended condoms; they’re just like other latex condoms, only they have a ‘climax control lube’ applied to them. Unfortunately there is no full list of ingredients whether you’re looking at the packaging, internal leaflet or condom wrapper – but there is Benzocaine (as stated on the box).  Considering it’s the same ingredient found in many over the counter tooth and pain medications/topical ointments I’m not surprised that they work so well.

Personal Experience

The first friend, a female, was told to give hers to her boyfriend (with his permission of course) and to have him tell her what it was like. He said it felt just like a regular (non enhanced) condom and that it wasn’t until about 5 minutes in that he felt his dick starting to go numb. At first it freaked him out, which is understandable, but after 15 minutes of having the condom on he realized he was going for a far longer period of time than usual. Because he wasn’t feeling much (genitally) it enhanced the sensations he felt on his balls and inner thighs, and allowed him to go for over a half an hour before ejaculating. Considering his partner usually takes a very long time to orgasm herself, she said it was “the breakthrough they needed”. When I asked about dislikes they didn’t really have anything to offer.

The second friend used it with his partner and had a similar experience. It wasn’t until about 5 – 10 minutes in that he realized he wasn’t feeling much genitally. He too said it kind of freaked him out, but that since he knew what was going on he didn’t really pay it much mind. When I asked him if there was anything he didn’t like he said he didn’t have any complaints, just the opposite – he liked the way it was internally lubricated and therefore didn’t ‘stick’ to him like other condoms, the sensation, or lack thereof, was very interesting and it was all around one of the better condoms he’s used.

*Note: because they are made of latex you’ll want to steer clear of any lube that contains oil, you’ll also want to make sure you don’t have a latex allergy. Because they contain Benzocaine you should treat them like other male enhancement products and remove them should any rash, irritation or discomfort ensue.

Final Verdict: Speaking from personal experience, I absolutely love these condoms and have for quite some time now. They’re easy to apply, don’t feel like much, provide the reassurance and peace of mind that safe sex practices tend to offer, while also allowing partners to enjoy their experience… sometimes for a little longer than originally planned.  If you find that the sprays, ointments, creams and balms just don’t work for you, you may want to look into what desensitizing condoms have to offer (as an added bonus they don’t stink like many other condoms – how they pulled that one off I’ll never know).

Beginners Guide To Cock Rings

cock ring imageNot sure what I cock ring is? Not to worry. This beginners guide to cock rings will help explain everything you need to know.

What Is A Cock Ring?

Cock rings are accessories worn around the base of the penis to extend intercourse by keeping blood trapped inside the shaft of the penis (they also seem to work wonders at making the penis look bigger – I said look, they don’t actually make it longer or bigger). In some cases, they can also be used to help hold a condom in place.

Erections occur when the penis is filled with blood after arousal (click the link to learn more about the ‘Male’ Sexual Response Cycle). Muscle spasms occurring at the base of the penis cause blood to be trapped and the penis to become hard. When there is a problem with the muscle spasms, the blood flows out and the penis remains soft.  Fortunately for many people a cock ring worn at the base of an erect penis will help prevent the blood from leaving the shaft, thus maintaining a firmer erection.

Whether made of  nitrile, leather, metal, silicone, or otherwise, there are many options available. The challenge is finding one that works with you and your body.

cock ring on penisFinding the Right Size

Considering that one of the most asked questions I get regarding cock rings is in regard to size, I want to assure you that most silicone and/or rubber rings will stretch to fit even the largest of penises, it’s just a matter of finding one that will accommodate comfortably.

As for metal rings; take a strip of paper, fabric, or something flexible that will comfortably fit around the shaft, wrap it around the base of the penis and mark where the ends meet. Measure the length, divide by 3, and you’ve got your size. For most people, a 1.75-2 inch ring will be sufficient to wear comfortably. I personally suggest avoiding metal rings unless you are experienced as they are harder to apply, remove, and there is the potential for it to get stuck should you be unable to lose the erection (which will very likely lead to a hospital visit).

Note: you could use a flexible tape measure, though you’ll want one made of a soft material that won’t accidentally cut you – which is why I don’t suggest traditional tape measures that could accidentally snap back.

vibrating cock ring on shaftHow To Wear

While the most effective way to wear a cock ring is behind the balls and around the top of the shaft, many people opt to wear them around the shaft only as it may be a bit more comfortable. Unfortunately there are a few things that may go wrong with this, like it slipping off during sex when things get wet and slippery.

On that note, I suggest applying a good water based lube before putting on the ring, as there is a likely chance it may otherwise tug and pull on pubic hair (if you have any) during use or removal. No matter which way you choose to wear a cock ring it should fit comfortably and cause no pain. One thing to remember is that cock rings should be first applied to a soft, flaccid penis and stay on until the penis is hard and erect.

Titanmen cock ringApplication

Applying cock rings is easy, especially those that are stretchy (like silicone and rubber): simply stretch the ring with two fingers (index and ring fingers) of both hands and bring the ring underneath and behind the balls, then back toward your lower abdomen, slowly allowing the tension to bind the base of the penis securely.

Unfortunately using metal rings is a little trickier: start by lubing up your balls, then gently maneuver one testicle through the ring (doesn’t matter which one), then gently ease in the other, from there you’re going to gently fold the penis and point it so it’s head down and push it through the ring, then carefully pull the ring back against your body so it sits above the shaft. As I said, this is a little trickier and can also be a tad more uncomfortable.

cock ring on balls and shaftThe Bad

Because the penis is made up of millions of blood vessels (that allow the flow of blood to enter and exit the area), constricting the flow of blood into (or out of)  the penis is just not something it’s meant to do naturally. As such, some of the problems you may face include numbness, discoloration, the inability to ejaculate, unnatural swelling and pain – often due to using one that’s too small, thin, or an improper application.

**If you notice any of the above I advise that you take the cock ring off immediately.

It is also not advised to leave a ring on for too long – a hard on that lasts several hours can cause blood to coagulate in the shaft which may make it very hard to lose the erection. If this happens, I suggest you seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Tips & Suggestions

  • Learning to apply c-rings before using them with a partner may be one of the best suggestions I have to offer. Not only will it cut down the time it takes to put on when in the moment, but it will also give you a feeling of confidence and preparedness, rather then being caught off guard leaving you fumbling in the dark.
  •  Using a little bit of lube to apply the c-ring will help it slide over the shaft and limit the amount of pubic hair (if you have any) that may get caught during use or removal. I’ve heard horror stories, trust me on this one.
  • Unless you are well versed with the use of c-rings I highly suggest sticking to rubber (not jelly), silicone, cyberskin or other somewhat flexible material rather then investing in metal. That way if you happen to ‘lock off’ (meaning you can’t return to your flaccid state, rendering you unable to remove the product) you can always cut the product off rather than having to go to the hospital to have it removed.
  • If you’re going to be using protection (and I hope you are) I suggest applying the condom first, then placing the cock ring over top which will help secure the condom and keep it from rolling up. Again, I’m going to suggest the use of lube to make it both easier, more comfortable, and prevent the condom from possibly tearing.
  • It’s advised to wear them for no longer than 20 minutes at a time, and definitely not something you’ll want to fall asleep still wearing.

My Fave Luxury G-Spot Sex Toys

So you’ve made a few small purchases of intimate accessories here and there, found some you loved and some you weren’t really pleased with. Have explored your g-spot (on your own or with something fun), and finally decided it’s time to shell out that little savings you’ve got tucked away for something pretty exceptional. The only problem, you don’t know what’s worthy of your hard earned cash. Good news – I do.

After spending over 6 years working with intimate accessories, with a large portion of that time dedicated to reviews, I’ve had my fair share of great times and unfortunately, experiences I could have lived without. Having said that, I’ve been lucky enough to try some of the best products on the market, all of which have given me the experiences and expertise to know what’s good and what’s better left behind.

With that in mind, if you have a little extra dough, want something specifically designed for g-spot stimulation, made of high quality materials, that’s rechargeable (so much better than batteries), is easy to use, has lots of functions and comes with all the high end bells and whistles a luxury product should, look no further, you’ve found the mother load.

Below are 4 of my all time favorite luxury vibrators specifically designed to make the g-spot happy. Go on, treat yourself. You deserve it!

Luxury G-Spot Sex Toys

Lelo Gigi VibratorLelo Gigi ($99.99 – $149.99)

Way back in the days when I first started working at a brick and mortar store GiGi was something everyone wanted. It was smooth, sleek, rechargeable, made of high end velvety smooth silicone, very quiet, well made and quite different from the traditional (read – boring) vibrators out at the time.

On a whim of curiosity I decided to splurge and take Gigi home to see what the big deal was. At first I was slightly unimpressed. That’s not to say I wasn’t taken aback by the design, ease of use, level of quality or respectful and beautiful packaging. Instead I found it to be a firm product that inserted easily, yet didn’t give me mind boggling orgasm I hoped for. Keep in mind this was back in the day when I was still learning, growing, exploring, challenging myself and my curiosity to rise above any preconceived notions about sex, sexuality and my body. After a few lack luster experiences I put Gigi away in its box where it sat for almost a year. As most of you probably know, a lot can change in a year.

When I came across it by accident, hidden and tucked away in the bottom of a drawer, I quickly pulled it out, recharged it and patiently waited. All the while quietly wondering if a year of bodily explorations would make a difference. Boy did it ever! Not only was finding my g-spot with Gigi quick and comfortable, but it was also far easier to operate and well worth the wait.

Unfortunately it does have a few draw backs; because it’s an older product I find the vibrations aren’t as insanely powerful as many that are made today. Then again that isn’t always a bad thing, especially for those of you that don’t want a crazy powerful product. It’s also not waterproof, for some of you that may be an issue, for others it wont. Regardless I thought I’d add it just to make sure everyone was in the know.

Stats: Length 6 1/2″, insertable length 4 1/2″, circumference 3 1/2″, diameter 1 1/8″, weight 1 lb

Final Verdict: 4.5 stars out of 5

Je Joue G-KiJe Joue G-Ki ($98.99 – $110.00)

I know I’ve claimed many products are my favorites, that some of them I just couldn’t live without. However, if there is one that I’d need when deserted on a stranded island without a companion (who’d put out penetration wise) it would be the G-Ki by Je Joue.

Not only is it easy to use, body safe, waterproof, rechargeable, damn near silent and extremely powerful, but it also does something no other product on the market can – it fully customizes to fit your bodies needs, and quite comfortably I might add!

In total I found 5 different positions that you could shape the G-Ki. That said if the first one doesn’t generate g-spot stimulation, you always have another 4 that you can play with until you find one that does. Keep in mind that while it might take a little time, when you do find a customized curve that hits your g-spot, it will definitely be worth the wait! Trust me!

As for the vibrations; there are 5 different speeds and 5 different vibrational patterns and activating them is a sinch; simply press the metal + (plus) button located on the handle once to activate it and to run through the 5 different speeds. The sixth press of the button shifts to the vibrational patterns. To run through them just keep pressing the + (plus) button until you find one that you like. If you go past a setting that you like just hit the – (minus) button located right below and you go back to the previous speed or setting. To turn it off just hold down the – (minus) button for 2 seconds and off it goes. Fantastic for those of you that need a product that has a “quick off” feature.

I have only one complaint and to be honest it really isn’t anything to worry about; manipulating the joints to adjust the head and shaft might be a little scary at first, especially if you’re someone like me who tends to break things. That said all it takes is a couple minutes to learn the amount of pressure your G-ki needs to move and you’re fine.

Stats: Length 9″, insertable length 5″, circumference 4″, diameter 1 1/2″, weight 1.5 lbs

Final Verdict: 5.75 out of 5 stars (it’s my rating system and I can do what I want!)

Lelo Ina: ($144.99 – $219.99)

There are so many reasons I love the Lelo Ina; it’s easy to use, made from body safe silicone, is hypo allergenic, hygienic, non porous, latex & phthalate free, non toxic and silky to the touch, is built to last, has dual motors (meaning more stimulation points), is powerful, very quiet, waterproof and has a setting I’ve never experienced on another product (the “circular mode”) that vibrates like it’s not only inside you, but a part of you. A part you never knew could be stimulated.

As for operating it there’s only 4 buttons to worry about; (-) minus, (+) plus, upwards arrow and downwards arrow. To turn it on just press the (+) button and it begins to vibrate at a low and steady rumble, press it again and it goes up in power. If you want to change the setting simply press the upwards arrow and it jumps to a pulsation, hitting it again will take you to the next setting and so forth. To turn it off simply hold the (-) button for couple seconds and it quickly powers down.

*In total there are 8 different vibration modes with varying speeds.

While it is rather pricey I have to say that it is most definitely worth it! If I wasn’t doing reviews and had the money to spend, based on the experiences I’ve had with it – I wouldn’t think twice about buying it.

When it came to drawbacks there was really only one and it’s actually something I’ve heard about from other people, yet didn’t really experience myself; because of the shape and thickness of the product some find that it ‘pinches’ or ‘clamps down’ on the area uncomfortably. Since I knew this issue in advance I took some time to stretch the clitoral stimulator back until it wasn’t so tight and rigid.

Stats: Length 7 3/4″, insertable length 3 1/2″, circumference 4 1/2″, diameter 1 3/8″, weight 1.5 lbs

Final Verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars

WeVibe IIWe-Vibe III: ($77.77 -$199.99)

When I received the original We-Vibe I was quickly impressed with its ease of use, high quality silicone materials, rechargeability and long battery life, innovative design (it’s meant for using during intercourse), comfortability, 3 vibration speeds and the rare ability to target specific areas in an almost perfectly hands free way.

Fortunately the We-Vibe III has the exact same features, but instead of 3 vibration speeds you get 6 different modes that include pulsations, escalations, roller coaster, throbbing and a wonderful steady and strong vibe. It also comes in a variety of colors, rather than the original plain purple design.

Of course none of that really matters unless it does what it’s supposed to, and boy does it ever. Inserting the product is very comfortable due to the thin, rounded and non intrusive design. It’s this thinness that allows the insertion of a penis without creating discomfort, but instead creating a sensation of fullness and amazing pressure on the g-spot. It’s also highly flexible so you can move, shape and shift it to target both the g-spot and labia, or for those of you with a clitoris that sits a little lower, it’s fantastic for targeting both areas without any stress or discomfort. Regardless of how you choose to use it, or the areas you hope to target, I have to say that this product is by far one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning.

Things I didn’t like – it attracts lint like crazy. But that’s pretty much it.

Stats: Length 3″, insertable length 3″, circumference 3″, diameter1″

Final Verdict: 4.25 out of 5 stars

If none of the above products strike your fancy, keep in mind that there are many more worth checking out. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to list them all here, however I will be covering each of the below items in future reviews. Overall Final Verdict

I have to admit, I’ve been rather fortunate (read – spoiled) when it comes to getting my hands on high end products I wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford. Beginners Guide: G-Spot Dildos

gspot dildosIf you’ve been following my recent posts you shouldn’t be surprised to see this one in the mix.

Like vibrators, there are many dildos specifically designed to help you find your g-spot and apply the much needed pressure. And while there is nothing like the sweet hum of a vibrator, there’s definitely something to be said for the fullness, pressure and simplicity most targeted g-spot dildos provide.

For those of you wondering what the difference is;  dildos are (often phallic) shaped sex toys designed for vaginal or anal penetration, and unlike vibrators, dildos do not have motors or moving parts. Since they don’t have anything that would vibrate, pulsate, escalate, or bring any form of mechanical pleasure, most of the enjoyment comes from penetration (whether in the form of thrusting, applying pressure, or ‘rocking’ to stimulate the g-spot), or the sensation of fullness they provide.

They can be made from a wide range of materials including plain rubber (though I don’t support them for this reason), silicone, vinyl, ABS plastic, TPR (thermo plastic rubber), TPE (thermo plastic elastomer), metal, wood, and glass. Fortunately for those that like variety, they can be found in almost any shape and/or size imaginable.

One thing to note, the vast majority of g-spot dildos are safe for vaginal use, but a dildo that’s being put in your butt must have flared base, be free of sharp edges and seams, and be easily removed to be considered safe.

With that in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to list a few of my absolute favorite g-spot dildos in order to help you not only find your g-spot, but also encourage you to explore your body.

The Best G-Spot Dildos for Beginners

bent graduate, glass g-spot sex toyDouble G Glass Stunner ($24.99 – $59.99)

From that lovely curve to the rippled end, the wonderful feeling of warm or cool glass to the fantastic design, the moment I saw this glass g-spot dildo I just had to have it!

Measuring 8 1/2″ in total length and crafted out of extremely high quality Pyrex glass (it’s able to stand 1,500 lbs of pressure!), this is one product that if cared for properly, will likely last you a life time.

*for those of you scared by the size, don’t worry – only 4 1/2″ is meant for insertion.

Along with being wonderfully designed, built to last and relatively affordable for the quality, glass has another fantastic feature – it’s non porous, meaning it wont absorb bacteria, bodily fluids or lube. It will also never age, fade or discolor, can be totally sterilized and is completely hypoallergenic and hygienic.  Basically put, if you want quality, buy some fantastically designed glass products!

If that wasn’t enough, it has one of the most lovely levels of firmness to provide pressure on the g-spot, while also being exceptionally comfortable to hold. You can use it in a rocking motion to stimulate the area, gently thrust it ( be gentle, you don’t want to bruise your cervix) or simply hold it in place while you use something for clitoral stimulation. What ever you choose I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.

Along with the various wonderful design features, it also has a rounded tip that allows it to slide inside very comfortably with the help of a tiny amount of your favorite lube.  If the curve doesn’t quite do it for you, you can also flip it around and use the ridges on the opposite side, all of which will rub on the g-spot offering some amazing sensations. Last but not least, you can use the curved end as a handle which again makes it very comfortable and easy to use.

On that note, because the glass g-spot dildo is made from glass it can be placed in warm or cold water to allow for some seriously amazing temperature play.

When it comes to cleaning you can wash it with soap and hot water, spray it down with you favorite toy cleaner. As for lube, you can use anything you want. Just keep in mind that it becomes extremely slippery when wet, so a little will go a very long way. (it’ll also save you money in the long run!)

Downfalls: None. Absolutely none.

Final Verdict: 5.5 out of 5 stars (it’s my rating system, I can do that when I want! ha!)

tantus charmerTantus Charmer ($44.99 – $59.99)

I’m rather proud to say that the Tantus Charmer was one of the very first dildos I received for g-spot stimulation, and even after all these years it’s never let me down.

Made of high quality silicone that allows for a little bit of give and flexibility,  the Charmer still manages to retain much of its firmness, offering great g-spot stimulation in the form of both pressure and continuous rubbing during thrusting.

On that note, it has 4 lovely ridges that when used in a thrusting motion, gently massage the g-spot. How fast or slow you use it is totally up to you, but it’s definitely one I would highly suggest.

In regard to cleaning you can bleach it in 10% bleach solution, boil it, put it in the dishwasher (I’m not kidding folks!), wash it with soap and water or spray it with toy cleaner. What ever you choose just keep in mind that Tantus products are made of some of the best silicone and like glass, won’t absorb bacteria, bodily fluids or lube.

As for lube, I’d only suggest a good water based one as a silicone would likely ruin it.

Final Verdict: 4.75 out of 5 stars

Lelo EllaLelo Ella ($39.99 – $59.99)

When the Lelo Ella first came out I was intrigued. For one thing it was shaped unlike the traditional dildos I was used to (read: it’s not a dick). For another, it was the one and only product everyone who owned it seemed to rave about. And I do mean everyone.

Finally submitting to the consensus I asked the generous folks at PinkCherry.ca to send one my way to include in this project. Fortunately for me they did, and in retrospect, I have no idea what took me so long. Very quickly Ella has filled one of the missing pieces in my drawer of ‘very necessary sex toys’.

Unlike many other products Ella‘s head has a way of hugging the g-spot very comfortably, giving  absolute control of the level of pressure you apply and because of the slightly rounded head, it glides in easily, almost instantly finding your g-spot without much struggle or searching. On top of that, Ella can be flipped around offering a lovely raised mount that applies pressure to the g-spot.

As for the stats: the product measures 7 1/2″ in total length, with 6 1/2″ of that being insertable. At its widest part you’re looking at 1 1/2 inches and regarding girth, 4″. Suffice to say it’s a comfortable size that even someone who’s not very sexually experienced could use without much pain or worry.

Like the other two products Ella  is hypoallergenic, hygienic, body safe and non porous so it doesn’t absorb bodily fluids lube or bacteria, making clean up a breeze. When it comes to cleaning  you can wash it with soap and water, gently boil it, use a 10% bleach solution, wash it with soap and water or spray it with your favorite toy cleaner.

Again I’d only suggest a good water based lube as a silicone lube would likely ruin it.

Final Verdict: 5 out of 5 stars

If none of the above products strike your fancy, keep in mind that there are many more worth checking out. Unfortunately I don’t have the can’t list them all , but feel free to click the image below to learn more.

Basic G-Spot Vibrators

Ahh, the ever elusive g-spot. One of the body parts mind boggling orgasms and frustrated rants are made of.  If that sounds a bit familiar, don’t worry you’re definitely not alone; for most women finding the g-spot can be a bit of a challenge, if not a great big annoyance. Trust me I know, I’ve been there.

Maybe it’s because of where it’s located (tucked away all nestled snug in the vag). Maybe it’s because we don’t have arms and fingers long enough to comfortably reach it. Or maybe it’s because half of us have no clue what we’re supposed to be looking for. Either way, the thought of twisting, bending and straining in the hopes of reaching an orgasm doesn’t sound like the most fun task in the world, especially when there’s no guarantee it will even happen.

Fortunately these frustrations can be a thing of the past with the help of  basic g-spot vibrators specifically designed to not only stimulate your g-spot, but more importantly – help you to find it!

Based on my own personal experiences, the 5 I’ve listed below are ones I’ve found to be extremely helpful when it came to producing some exceptionally pleasurable experiences.

*Once again I just want to send out a big thank you to the folks at PinkCherry.ca for not only sending the products my way (so I could review them), but for also being so supportive when it came to helping me create big project like this. If you’ll be making any purchases due to this series of posts, please support them to show your thanks for them supporting me!!

**All of the price ranges are quoted from various online sites, with PinkCherry.ca being the lowest priced quote offered in this post.

Basic G-Spot Vibrators

Slimline G: ($14.88 – $29.99)

One of the very first products I purchased during my personal sexual exploration was the Slimline G. I don’t know if it was the affordable price ($14.88 – can we say hells yes?!), ease of use, sturdy design, strange looking bulbous head or the fact that the sales lady kept raving about it, but I just couldn’t help myself from buying it.

Not only has the Slimline G helped me find my g-spot and achieve some great orgasms over the years, but it has also stood the test of time, lasting far longer than many other intimate accessories I’ve owned.  (I dropped it, left it for hours in a sink of water, accidentally slammed it in a door – long story don’t ask –  jammed it in a drawer and it still worked!) Taking all of that into consideration, I can’t help but suggest it to any person on a budget that’s also looking for a good buy.

As for the  specs and features; the Slimline G is crafted out of  body safe ABS plastic that’s very firm with no ‘give’ making it perfect for applying pressure to the g-spot. It measures 8″ in total length (7″ of which is insertable), has a bulbous head that allows for a comfortable insertion, while also being wide enough to offer a large surface area for stimulation (it’s 4 1/2″ in circumference). On top of that, it has a dial on the bottom that makes it very easy to use, while also being water-proof.

When it comes to cleaning you can spray it with toy cleaner or give it a good wash with soap and water. In regard to lube, since it’s made of ABS you can use anything your little va-jay-jay desires.

The downfalls; it’s loud, not Hitachi Magic Wand loud, but loud enough that someone in the same room would hear it. Aside from that it doesn’t have any special vibration patterns or an easy ‘off’ button and requires 2 AA batteries. (I’m a sucker for rechargeable products)

Final Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars.

Platinum Edition Butterfly Kiss: ($19.99 – $29.99)

If there is one product I think every female on a budget (that also wants a worthwhile vibe) should have, it’s the Platinum Edition Butterfly Kiss. Seriously, I love it.

Not only is the product the perfect length for G-Spot stimulation, but it also has a lovely little soft and squishy bulbous head that makes insertion and targeting the g-spot easy. More then that, it’s made of body safe TPR and it has 9 functions of vibration, pulsation, and escalation to help arouse.

Sure the head isn’t firm or hard, which might not work out very well when it comes to applying pressure – but for me it does everything I need it to and then some! On that note, because it’s made of flexible and squishy TPR it moves with your body rather than feeling like you have something ‘jammed’ in you (a common complaint I’ve heard regarding the standard ‘firm’ vibes).

Like the Slimline G the product can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. Totally up to you. As for lube, I’d stick with a good water based lube as a silicone would be relatively hard to clean since the TPR is porous.

The downfalls; It requires 2 AAA batteries and attracts lint. That’s it.

(*In truth I could have added this as a dual vibe, but I love what it does for my G-Spot – so I’m putting it here. To watch my video review click here.)

Final Verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Shanes World Campus G ($19.99 – $29.99) (*update: no longer available)

If I told you I liked the packaging I’d be lying. Likewise, if I told you the Campus G wasn’t good at offering g-spot stimulation, I’d also be lying. Point being: never judge a vibe by it’s cover.

From its smooth and shiny waterproof outer TPE shell, to the bizarre and random little nubs at its base, the Campus G has it covered when it comes to comfortable insertion, stimulating the vulva and targeting the g-spot in a way that’s almost perfect.

Measuring 6 3/4″ in total length, with 3″ meant for insertion, it’s the smallest of the 5 (in this post), though it’s definitely not the thinnest, coming in with a 4.4″ girth at its widest part. Insertion is rather comfortable due to the rounded tip and targeting the g-spot is easy with its perfect shape for applying pressure.

As for the firmness, it comes in somewhere between the Platinum Butterfly Kiss and Slimline G, having a curved tip that’s somewhat squishy, yet maintaining a firm outer shell that isn’t very flexible. In my experiences it’s been a rather nice combination of the features offered with the other two products, while still having some special features of its own (ahhh, that lovely bizarre shaped base).

When it comes to cleaning simply wash it with soap and water or spray it with toy cleaner. As for lube, I’d also suggest a good water based one.

*Because the Campus G works like the Slimline G, via a dial on the bottom, controlling the speeds is very easy.

The downfalls: Requires 2 AA batteries, doesn’t have any special vibrational patterns and is rather loud.

Final Verdict: 4 stars out of 5

Lia Magic Wand ($39.99 – $59.99)

When I first got my hands on the Lia I thought it would let me down. Like many Cal Exotics products, this pretty pink g-spot vibe came packaged in a cheap and flimsy transparent box that looked like it would fall apart the moment it was removed. And while I said you shouldn’t judge a vibe by its cover, sometimes I just can’t help myself. (force of habit I guess)

Quite surprisingly the Lia Magic Wand (no affiliation with the Hitachi Magic Wand) is stronger than some of the higher priced vibes I’ve tried, and also surprisingly, much better quality. Made of silicone (it passed the flame test) and velvety smooth to the touch, Lia has a relatively thin girth compared to the others (only 3.8″) and measures 8 1/2″ in total length with 6 1/2″ of that being insertable.

As for vibrational functions, there are 10 in total that vary from 3 speeds to various escalations and pulsations, all of which are managed from 2 buttons located on the bottom; one for turning it on and quickly off, and another for running through the settings.

Aside from the ‘body safe’ materials, ease of use and lovely design the product has one more thing going for it; I’ve often found that when it comes to affordable products that come with various vibration speeds many of them either die very quickly (batteries, how I loathe them) or somehow lose strength the further you go through the settings. That of course isn’t to mention the fact that most also have the mechanical part in the bottom causing the vibration to fade as it’s carried throughout the shaft. Fortunately the Lia Magic Wand has the vibration right in the tip (no pun intended) so you feel it directly on the g-spot…and it doesn’t lose power when experimenting.

Since Lia is made of silicone I’d only suggest a good water based lube as a silicone lube would likely ruin it. As for cleaning, you can wash it with soap and water or give it a once over with toy cleaner.

The downfall: the head is rather flexible which could make applying pressure a tad difficult.

Final Verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars

 Royal Princess: ($46.88 – $69.99)

After experiencing what the previous product could do I had very high expectations for the Royal Princess. How could I not, it’s a relatively similar design and made by the same company.  I also had high expectations due to the fact that it was from the Sue Johanson product line and endorsed by a woman who heavily influenced my sexual education as a teen through her “Sunday Night Sex Show” television program. I hate to say it but after testing it (a few times for fairness) I sit sadly on the fence.

On the one hand it’s made from TPR making it smooth, somewhat squishy, a little flexible and very comfortable during insertion. It also has a nice curved neck that hugs the g-spot and retains enough firmness to apply pressure, while also being waterproof. On the other hand, it has a very weak vibe especially when compared to the other 4 products and even more so when compared to all of the products I’ve reviewed – yes, I mean that.  Sure, it has 7 vibrational functions that offer a variety, but when you can’t really feel them that doesn’t make much difference. Aside from that, it’s a little awkward to use as the buttons are very small and located on the bottom which makes hitting the off button by accident a frequent annoyance.

Of course I completely understand that some women don’t like strong vibrations, and that the old adage ‘less is more’ can often be true. Sadly for me it’s not, which is why I find myself sitting on the fence. That in mind, if you want a g-spot vibrator that isn’t overly powerful I suggest you try this one over the others. You likely won’t be disappointed.

Like the others you can clean it with soap and water or toy cleaner, and as for lubricant, I’d suggest a good water based one.

Final Verdict: 3.5 out of 5 stars
