Review: Tantus Little Secrets: Spoon

A couple months ago I was sent the complete set of Tantus Little Secrets to review and showcase for all of you. To say I was excited, surprised, impressed and overjoyed is definitely an understatement!

Since my experience with Tantus products has always been a great one, I had very high expectations for each of these little wonders. Fortunately they’ve lived up the level of quality I’ve come to expect in every way possible and not surprisingly, the packaging, design, eco friendliness, ease of use and body safety are all fantastic!

For those of you that want to read about my experience with the other products within the Little Secrets line, I previously did a review of the Whisper and Touch which you can find by clicking this link.

*just a heads up, some of the the content within this review has been taken from my previous posts as the information regarding the packaging, level of quality, care and cleaning is the same. If you read the other reviews, you can skip those parts and just read my take on Spoon.

Packaging

As with the majority of Tantus products the Little Secrets come respectfully, professionally, playfully and beautifully packaged in clear boxes that show them off the way they deserve. The only real difference from the ‘regular’ packaging is the adornment of pretty reflective silver, white and grey flowers that make the cases look ‘designer’ in nature and very high end.

*I absolutely love it and hope they keep it up with all the new lines they create!

There’s nothing on them that’s rude, unprofessional or embarrassing and with the exception of the word “toy”, there really isn’t anything to hint at what they’re designed for. You could definitely buy any of the Little Secrets and not have to worry about what someone would think should they come across them unexpectedly.

The Good

For those of you that don’t know, all of Tantus‘ products are crafted out of Ultra Premium Silicone making them easy to care for and clean, extremely body safe (being both phthalate and latex free), waterproof, odorless, hypoallergenic, hygienic, non toxic and non porous. Basically put, they’re badass in every way possible!

*because they’re non porous they wont absorb bodily fluids, lube or bacteria.

Taking all of that into consideration, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad word to say about anything they’ve made, and since they’re made from some of the best materials an intimate accessory manufacture can get their hands on, along with being anatomically targeted and tested, I just don’t think I could.

As for the specifics, I’m going to do a bunch of mini reviews, rather than one basic overall review, as I feel they’re each worthy of their own moment in the spotlight.

Little Secrets Spoon:

Spoon measures a short  4 1/4″ inches in total length, with a usable length of 3 1/4″. It’s  7/8″ in diameter and although it’s rather small compared to other products of its type, it’s still pretty fantastic when it comes to clitoral stimulation, making access and maintaining contact with it exceptionally easy and comfortable.

If you looked at it and thought it slightly resembled Touch you’d be right as they both sport a wide and flat tip that resembles a chubby little thumb pad, the difference being that Spoon is wider and thicker which provides quite a bit more control.

In regard to color it’s a surprisingly bright and beautiful neon orange that’s fun, cheerful, playful and continually reminds me of the ridiculous leg warmers I wore with pride in the mid 80’s (they were so amazingly tacky).  It’s smooth, supple, allows for a bit of  ‘give’, while also having a lovely squishy tip that’s rather flexible, yet not as flexible as Touch.  Because the neck of Touch is thinner it makes the product very easy to bend, twist and fold over. Attempting the same with Spoon required a bit more pressure which made it slightly better when pressing against for stimulating any part of the body.

The strength is the same as both Touch and Whisper being neither too strong nor too weak, however I did find that because the tip was thicker the vibrations were a tiny bit weaker than the others.  On that note, if you like an exceptionally powerful vibration I don’t think the Little Secrets would work for you while in their sleeve. In contrast, if you’re very sensitive or like something that’s a steady, mid range vibe they just might be perfect.

*For those of you that like a strong vibe, keep in mind that you can easily remove the bullet from the sleeve and use it as is.

Other Options

The first time you try to remove the sleeve may not be the easiest and you’ll likely find yourself wiggling, pulling, twisting and tugging in frustration. I found it easiest to remove when I pinched the squishy tip with one hand and gently pulled the end of the bullet with the other, taking a second every so often to gently peel away the opening of the sleeve (which allows air inside the space and makes the suction easier to break). Once I had it off I applied a small bit of lube and reinserted the bullet which allowed it slide in and out without any friction or frustration.
Like all of the products in the line, Spoon is exceptionally quiet (trust me, no one will hear it even if they’re in the same room), fits nicely in the hand making usage very easy and comfortable, is slightly squishy allowing for a bit of ‘give’ when in use and because it has a simple push button activation it’s easy to start and stop.

As for ways it could be used, I personally think it’s best as a clitoral stimulator, though teasing and taunting your partners erogenous zones is also nice. Because it has a flat tip insertion for vaginal use isn’t the easiest or most comfortable easy and I truthfully don’t know how much stimulation it would offer.

*The only thing I’d advise against is anal insertion as it doesn’t have a flared base and will possibly get lodged inside you.

Care & Cleaning

Since they’re made of Ultra Premium Silicone you can wash them with anti bacterial soap and water, boil them up to 600° Fahrenheit, bleach them with a 10% bleach solution, or simply put them in the top rack of your dishwasher…yes, I did say put

them in the dishwasher. I also suggest you remove the sleeve from the bullet before any kind of cleaning. While the bullet is waterproof (another bonus!) I don’t think it would do too well being placed in boiling water, a dishwasher or bleach solution. Simply washing it with anti bacterial soap and water or spraying it with toy cleaner will do.

Keeping your Tantus products like new shouldn’t be too hard, just keep in mind you should only be using water based lubricants as a silicone lube will likely ruin them. If all you have is silicone and you really want to use it, I suggest you do a “patch test” first; place a tiny amount on the bottom of your silicone sleeve or the base of the product, if it becomes foggy, matte or looks like it’s melting don’t use it as it wont be compatible.

As for changing the batteries it’s very easy; just unscrew the bottom cap, remove your N battery, pop the new one in, screw the cap back on and you’re good to go! *I also suggest you remove the battery when the product is not in use as it could corrode and kill your bullet.

Final Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars

The Bad

In regard to things I didn’t like there were a few, though I really don’t think they are that big of a deal and like many of my other reviews, I’m just nit picking.

1.) All of the products collect lint like you wouldn’t believe. If that’s something that bothers you there are a few easy solutions; you can store them in an air tight container to keep them away from dust and pet hair, wrap them in a link free cloth or store them in the case they came with. Problem solved!

2.) The biggest complaint I keep hearing from other reviewers is that they aren’t the strongest. Considering some people are very sensitive the Little Secrets are still very good, they’re just not on par with most hand held wands or other extremely powerful vibes. Try to keep in mind they’re not supposed to be – they’re bullets. On that note, I’ve always been able to achieve an orgasm using them…and I’m a devoted Fairy Wand/Hitachi girl, which should say something.

*For the record, I was actually very happy to see that they used one of the more powerful bullets on the market – the RO-80mm Chrome Bullet which I have included in previous posts because I’m such a fan.

3.) If you’re like me and want to keep the packaging you might not like how hard they are to get out of the containers they come in. I literally ripped the tops of the boxes off my Kiss, Tease and Spoon, while also breaking a nail in the process. I actually don’t fault the company for this as I’m known for having a hard time getting products out of their packaging, especially if they have lots of tabs etc.

Final Verdict

Between the thicker and firmer neck that allowed more control, the fantastic neon hue that made me giggle and brightened my day, the flat tip that offered a larger surface area for stimulation than Whisper or Touch and the amount of control I found when using it, I have to say I’m thoroughly impressed with the Little Secret Spoon.

Considering it’s also exceptionally body safe, light weight, easy to use, odorless, water-proof, whisper quiet, wonderfully smooth and supple, doesn’t hurt, is very discreet and comes beautifully and respectfully packaged I don’t know what else they could have done to make it any better. Okay, they could have made it a tad stronger but that’s about it.

If you’re interested in any of the other products in the Little Secret line I suggest you head over to Tantus where shopping for body safe dildos, vibes, butt plugs and other badass finds is easy, affordable and your privacy is always respected!

Review: Chippendales Diva Massager

When the generous folks at SheVibe offered me a chance to review the newly released Chippendales Diva Sensual Massager I just couldn’t say no.

Whether it was the interesting design, 15 different stimulation modes, full 1 year warranty… or the fact that it was made by Chippendales, that made me want to try it, I’m not too sure. Either way, I’m glad I grabbed it!

Packaging

The product comes very respectfully packaged in a sleek black box with nothing on it that’s rude, unprofessional or potentially embarrassing. It doesn’t say vibrator. It doesn’t have sexual references.  All it says that could hint at what it’s for are the terms “sensual massager” and “women’s entertainment”…just keep in mind it’s a Chippendales product. Maybe it’s just me, but that alone would be a bit of a give away.

Once the outer packaging is removed you’ll find a lovely thick black cardboard box that sports the bow tie logo Chippendales is known for, along with the word “Chippendales”, both of which are embossed in metallic silver. The box itself is matte, yet has a “snake skin” design (fake of course) which appears rather luxurious and high end. By no means is it the same cheap and crappy box you’ll find with many other intimate accessories.

If keeping the box wasn’t something you had planned on, or if you wanted to use it for another purpose (like storing lube, batteries and condoms) you could instead use the silk bag the product also comes with.  While it’s not that big of an inclusion, it’s definitely a nice little add on.

*another small bonus: included in the box is a user manual (written in 4 different languages), something I feel many companies neglect to offer.

The Goods

If you’re looking for a product that’s latex and phthalate free, easy to care for and clean, while also being non porous and exceptionally smooth to the touch, the Chippendales Diva Massager is all of the above and then some. Crafted out of body safe ABS plastic, this massager fits very nicely in the hand and allows for easy clitoral stimulation, cupping of the testes or vulva, placing between partners (externally) during intercourse, tracing along the body during foreplay or using for an actual massage.

While the pictures don’t show it well enough, the underside of the massager has a slightly rounded bump that makes targeting the clitoris (or any other body part) not only something that’s easily accomplished, but also surprisingly comfortable.

*Don’t want to use the rounded bump? no problem.  Simply flip it on its side and use the curved corner for a more direct and intense level of stimulation.

As for the stats, the product measures 4.96″ long and 2.48″ wide which makes it much wider than many other massagers of it’s type. Fortunately the size difference actually ends up being a fantastic feature as it allows for a rather large surface area for stimulation and gives the user an opportunity to gyrate, slide, rock or press against it as they please – without the fear of losing control of the product (or the part that’s offering stimulation).

In regard to the controls there’s only two which makes operating it very easy to master. Simply press the + (plus) button for 3 seconds to turn it on. Once activated it’ll vibrate at a low consistent purr that even the most sensitive person would be able to enjoy. From there the Diva Massager offers another 7 speeds of vibration, each one offered by another press of the + button. To go down a level just press the – (minus) button. If you don’t want to bother with the lower or mid range speeds, holding down the + (plus) button takes you to the highest speed in about 3 seconds.

*For the record, the 6th – 8th speeds of intensity are pretty damn impressive!

If pulsations, escalations and varying vibration modes are more your thing you’ve luckily got 7 to choose from. To get them going just press down on the + (plus) button until you’ve reached the highest speed, let go and press down again for 2 seconds. When you let go the massager will jump to a mid range pulsation that has a steady and thumping beat, hit the + (plus) button again and it’s a much faster paced pulse, hit it again and you get a very fast pulse. From that point hitting the + (plus) button takes it to an escalation that begins at a low purr and raises to a stronger vibration. Next up is a longer and more drawn out escalation. One more push and it starts as a series of 5 pulses then revs to an escalation, which rounds out the 7 options.

If at any time you want to go back to the steady vibe just hold down the – (minus) button for 2 seconds and let go. To turn it off simply hold down the – (minus) button until it completely shuts off (takes about 3 seconds).

*I’m sure it reads very confusing, but it’s exceptionally simple in practice.

Care & Cleaning

Keeping the product in good working condition isn’t very difficult;  just make sure not to drop it too often (I’ve dropped it 3 times and it still surprisingly works), remove the batteries when not in use (so they don’t corrode inside the compartment), use a good water based lube and don’t use it in the tub, shower or any other water filled place you might like to play.

Taking into consideration that the Diva Massager is made of ABS plastic and is splash proof (not waterproof) cleaning is is easy; you can wipe it with an anti bacterial toy cleaning wipe, spray it with toy cleaner or simply give it a good wipe with a damp cloth. On that note I do not suggest cleaning it under a running faucet as you’ll likely ruin it.

As for batteries, the massager requires 3 AAA’s that are both easy to insert and remove. Simply slide of the bottom battery cover, pop your batteries in place, slide the cover back on and you’re done. No broken nails. No chipped teeth and definitely no frustrations.

The Bad

When it came to things I didn’t like about the product there were only 2, though the second one isn’t really that big of a deal.

1.) Because it’s made of a very smooth ABS plastic lubed hands don’t offer the most control, and you’ll likely find it slipping and sliding out of your grip. If they had added a slight bit of textured material on the along the sides that would have been ideal. Of course you could always just wipe the lube off your hands before getting started…but some of us just don’t think about that in the heat of the moment (I’m blond, cut me some slack).

2.) Although it is splash proof it’s not water proof, meaning you can’t submerge it under water. For some of you it might make a difference for other it might not. Since I rarely use products when in the shower or tub I didn’t really care.

Final Verdict

When I first heard about the Chippendales Diva Massager I was intrigued. I mean common, it’s Chippendales. Then I saw the unique design online and my mind really began to spin. Now, after finally having it in my pudgy little palms to test and review, I can’t help but be impressed.

Not only is this massager extremely comfortable to hold, easy to use either alone or with a partner, damn near whisper silent and surprisingly powerful, but it’s also body safe, discreet, simple to operate and much higher quality than I had originally expected.

Taking all of that into consideration, I’d highly suggest it to someone who’s looking for something new, fun and exciting to add to their collection. If that sounds like you, head on over to SheVibe.com, check out their fabulous website and pick up the Chippendales Diva Massager for yourself!

*For the record, I think SheVibe has one of the best looking, well laid out and graphically designed websites I’ve ever seen. Especially when it comes to intimate accessories. Seriously! Their artist has talent to boot!

Little Secrets Touch in Peacock:

Touch measures 3.3″ in total length, 1″ in diameter and sports a flat tip that slightly resembles a chubby little thumb pad. While it was a tiny bit smaller than I expected (in length), I still think the design is a perfect length for clitoral stimulation, making access of the clitoris and maintaining contact with it exceptionally easy and comfortable.

In regard to color it’s an incredibly beautiful dark turquoise hue that’s much darker than most pictures will show, yet also has a slight opalescence to it. To say it’s stunning just doesn’t do it justice! As for the feeling, Touch has a lovely squishy tip that’s also rather flexible, allowing for quite a range of pressure and movement when held and during stimulation.

The strength is quite similar to Whisper,  being neither too strong nor too weak.  Having said that, if you like an exceptionally powerful vibration I don’t think either the Touch or Whisper would work for you while in their sleeve. In contrast, if you’re very sensitive or  like something that’s a steady, mid range vibe this is just might be perfect.

Taking all of that into consideration, I think my dislikes are very superficial and shouldn’t really be taken to heart.

My Fave Luxury G-Spot Sex Toys

So you’ve made a few small purchases of intimate accessories here and there, found some you loved and some you weren’t really pleased with. Have explored your g-spot (on your own or with something fun), and finally decided it’s time to shell out that little savings you’ve got tucked away for something pretty exceptional. The only problem, you don’t know what’s worthy of your hard earned cash. Good news – I do.

After spending over 6 years working with intimate accessories, with a large portion of that time dedicated to reviews, I’ve had my fair share of great times and unfortunately, experiences I could have lived without. Having said that, I’ve been lucky enough to try some of the best products on the market, all of which have given me the experiences and expertise to know what’s good and what’s better left behind.

With that in mind, if you have a little extra dough, want something specifically designed for g-spot stimulation, made of high quality materials, that’s rechargeable (so much better than batteries), is easy to use, has lots of functions and comes with all the high end bells and whistles a luxury product should, look no further, you’ve found the mother load.

Below are 4 of my all time favorite luxury vibrators specifically designed to make the g-spot happy. Go on, treat yourself. You deserve it!

Luxury G-Spot Sex Toys

Lelo Gigi VibratorLelo Gigi ($99.99 – $149.99)

Way back in the days when I first started working at a brick and mortar store GiGi was something everyone wanted. It was smooth, sleek, rechargeable, made of high end velvety smooth silicone, very quiet, well made and quite different from the traditional (read – boring) vibrators out at the time.

On a whim of curiosity I decided to splurge and take Gigi home to see what the big deal was. At first I was slightly unimpressed. That’s not to say I wasn’t taken aback by the design, ease of use, level of quality or respectful and beautiful packaging. Instead I found it to be a firm product that inserted easily, yet didn’t give me mind boggling orgasm I hoped for. Keep in mind this was back in the day when I was still learning, growing, exploring, challenging myself and my curiosity to rise above any preconceived notions about sex, sexuality and my body. After a few lack luster experiences I put Gigi away in its box where it sat for almost a year. As most of you probably know, a lot can change in a year.

When I came across it by accident, hidden and tucked away in the bottom of a drawer, I quickly pulled it out, recharged it and patiently waited. All the while quietly wondering if a year of bodily explorations would make a difference. Boy did it ever! Not only was finding my g-spot with Gigi quick and comfortable, but it was also far easier to operate and well worth the wait.

Unfortunately it does have a few draw backs; because it’s an older product I find the vibrations aren’t as insanely powerful as many that are made today. Then again that isn’t always a bad thing, especially for those of you that don’t want a crazy powerful product. It’s also not waterproof, for some of you that may be an issue, for others it wont. Regardless I thought I’d add it just to make sure everyone was in the know.

Stats: Length 6 1/2″, insertable length 4 1/2″, circumference 3 1/2″, diameter 1 1/8″, weight 1 lb

Final Verdict: 4.5 stars out of 5

Je Joue G-KiJe Joue G-Ki ($98.99 – $110.00)

I know I’ve claimed many products are my favorites, that some of them I just couldn’t live without. However, if there is one that I’d need when deserted on a stranded island without a companion (who’d put out penetration wise) it would be the G-Ki by Je Joue.

Not only is it easy to use, body safe, waterproof, rechargeable, damn near silent and extremely powerful, but it also does something no other product on the market can – it fully customizes to fit your bodies needs, and quite comfortably I might add!

In total I found 5 different positions that you could shape the G-Ki. That said if the first one doesn’t generate g-spot stimulation, you always have another 4 that you can play with until you find one that does. Keep in mind that while it might take a little time, when you do find a customized curve that hits your g-spot, it will definitely be worth the wait! Trust me!

As for the vibrations; there are 5 different speeds and 5 different vibrational patterns and activating them is a sinch; simply press the metal + (plus) button located on the handle once to activate it and to run through the 5 different speeds. The sixth press of the button shifts to the vibrational patterns. To run through them just keep pressing the + (plus) button until you find one that you like. If you go past a setting that you like just hit the – (minus) button located right below and you go back to the previous speed or setting. To turn it off just hold down the – (minus) button for 2 seconds and off it goes. Fantastic for those of you that need a product that has a “quick off” feature.

I have only one complaint and to be honest it really isn’t anything to worry about; manipulating the joints to adjust the head and shaft might be a little scary at first, especially if you’re someone like me who tends to break things. That said all it takes is a couple minutes to learn the amount of pressure your G-ki needs to move and you’re fine.

Stats: Length 9″, insertable length 5″, circumference 4″, diameter 1 1/2″, weight 1.5 lbs

Final Verdict: 5.75 out of 5 stars (it’s my rating system and I can do what I want!)

Lelo Ina: ($144.99 – $219.99)

There are so many reasons I love the Lelo Ina; it’s easy to use, made from body safe silicone, is hypo allergenic, hygienic, non porous, latex & phthalate free, non toxic and silky to the touch, is built to last, has dual motors (meaning more stimulation points), is powerful, very quiet, waterproof and has a setting I’ve never experienced on another product (the “circular mode”) that vibrates like it’s not only inside you, but a part of you. A part you never knew could be stimulated.

As for operating it there’s only 4 buttons to worry about; (-) minus, (+) plus, upwards arrow and downwards arrow. To turn it on just press the (+) button and it begins to vibrate at a low and steady rumble, press it again and it goes up in power. If you want to change the setting simply press the upwards arrow and it jumps to a pulsation, hitting it again will take you to the next setting and so forth. To turn it off simply hold the (-) button for couple seconds and it quickly powers down.

*In total there are 8 different vibration modes with varying speeds.

While it is rather pricey I have to say that it is most definitely worth it! If I wasn’t doing reviews and had the money to spend, based on the experiences I’ve had with it – I wouldn’t think twice about buying it.

When it came to drawbacks there was really only one and it’s actually something I’ve heard about from other people, yet didn’t really experience myself; because of the shape and thickness of the product some find that it ‘pinches’ or ‘clamps down’ on the area uncomfortably. Since I knew this issue in advance I took some time to stretch the clitoral stimulator back until it wasn’t so tight and rigid.

Stats: Length 7 3/4″, insertable length 3 1/2″, circumference 4 1/2″, diameter 1 3/8″, weight 1.5 lbs

Final Verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars

WeVibe IIWe-Vibe III: ($77.77 -$199.99)

When I received the original We-Vibe I was quickly impressed with its ease of use, high quality silicone materials, rechargeability and long battery life, innovative design (it’s meant for using during intercourse), comfortability, 3 vibration speeds and the rare ability to target specific areas in an almost perfectly hands free way.

Fortunately the We-Vibe III has the exact same features, but instead of 3 vibration speeds you get 6 different modes that include pulsations, escalations, roller coaster, throbbing and a wonderful steady and strong vibe. It also comes in a variety of colors, rather than the original plain purple design.

Of course none of that really matters unless it does what it’s supposed to, and boy does it ever. Inserting the product is very comfortable due to the thin, rounded and non intrusive design. It’s this thinness that allows the insertion of a penis without creating discomfort, but instead creating a sensation of fullness and amazing pressure on the g-spot. It’s also highly flexible so you can move, shape and shift it to target both the g-spot and labia, or for those of you with a clitoris that sits a little lower, it’s fantastic for targeting both areas without any stress or discomfort. Regardless of how you choose to use it, or the areas you hope to target, I have to say that this product is by far one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning.

Things I didn’t like – it attracts lint like crazy. But that’s pretty much it.

Stats: Length 3″, insertable length 3″, circumference 3″, diameter1″

Final Verdict: 4.25 out of 5 stars

Overall Final Verdict

I have to admit, I’ve been rather fortunate (read – spoiled) when it comes to getting my hands on high end products I wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford. Having said that I understand just how important it is to know if a product is good or not before opting to spend some hard earned cash. With that in mind, you can rest assured that each of the products I’ve listed above are some of the best available. I should know, I’ve tried them.

Basic G-Spot Vibrators

Ahh, the ever elusive g-spot. One of the body parts mind boggling orgasms and frustrated rants are made of.  If that sounds a bit familiar, don’t worry you’re definitely not alone; for most women finding the g-spot can be a bit of a challenge, if not a great big annoyance. Trust me I know, I’ve been there.

Maybe it’s because of where it’s located (tucked away all nestled snug in the vag). Maybe it’s because we don’t have arms and fingers long enough to comfortably reach it. Or maybe it’s because half of us have no clue what we’re supposed to be looking for. Either way, the thought of twisting, bending and straining in the hopes of reaching an orgasm doesn’t sound like the most fun task in the world, especially when there’s no guarantee it will even happen.

Fortunately these frustrations can be a thing of the past with the help of  basic g-spot vibrators specifically designed to not only stimulate your g-spot, but more importantly – help you to find it!

Based on my own personal experiences, the 5 I’ve listed below are ones I’ve found to be extremely helpful when it came to producing some exceptionally pleasurable experiences.

*Once again I just want to send out a big thank you to the folks at PinkCherry.ca for not only sending the products my way (so I could review them), but for also being so supportive when it came to helping me create big project like this. If you’ll be making any purchases due to this series of posts, please support them to show your thanks for them supporting me!!

**All of the price ranges are quoted from various online sites, with PinkCherry.ca being the lowest priced quote offered in this post.

Basic G-Spot Vibrators

Slimline G: ($14.88 – $29.99)

One of the very first products I purchased during my personal sexual exploration was the Slimline G. I don’t know if it was the affordable price ($14.88 – can we say hells yes?!), ease of use, sturdy design, strange looking bulbous head or the fact that the sales lady kept raving about it, but I just couldn’t help myself from buying it.

Not only has the Slimline G helped me find my g-spot and achieve some great orgasms over the years, but it has also stood the test of time, lasting far longer than many other intimate accessories I’ve owned.  (I dropped it, left it for hours in a sink of water, accidentally slammed it in a door – long story don’t ask –  jammed it in a drawer and it still worked!) Taking all of that into consideration, I can’t help but suggest it to any person on a budget that’s also looking for a good buy.

As for the  specs and features; the Slimline G is crafted out of  body safe ABS plastic that’s very firm with no ‘give’ making it perfect for applying pressure to the g-spot. It measures 8″ in total length (7″ of which is insertable), has a bulbous head that allows for a comfortable insertion, while also being wide enough to offer a large surface area for stimulation (it’s 4 1/2″ in circumference). On top of that, it has a dial on the bottom that makes it very easy to use, while also being water-proof.

When it comes to cleaning you can spray it with toy cleaner or give it a good wash with soap and water. In regard to lube, since it’s made of ABS you can use anything your little va-jay-jay desires.

The downfalls; it’s loud, not Hitachi Magic Wand loud, but loud enough that someone in the same room would hear it. Aside from that it doesn’t have any special vibration patterns or an easy ‘off’ button and requires 2 AA batteries. (I’m a sucker for rechargeable products)

Final Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars.

Platinum Edition Butterfly Kiss: ($19.99 – $29.99)

If there is one product I think every female on a budget (that also wants a worthwhile vibe) should have, it’s the Platinum Edition Butterfly Kiss. Seriously, I love it.

Not only is the product the perfect length for G-Spot stimulation, but it also has a lovely little soft and squishy bulbous head that makes insertion and targeting the g-spot easy. More then that, it’s made of body safe TPR and it has 9 functions of vibration, pulsation, and escalation to help arouse.

Sure the head isn’t firm or hard, which might not work out very well when it comes to applying pressure – but for me it does everything I need it to and then some! On that note, because it’s made of flexible and squishy TPR it moves with your body rather than feeling like you have something ‘jammed’ in you (a common complaint I’ve heard regarding the standard ‘firm’ vibes).

Like the Slimline G the product can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. Totally up to you. As for lube, I’d stick with a good water based lube as a silicone would be relatively hard to clean since the TPR is porous.

The downfalls; It requires 2 AAA batteries and attracts lint. That’s it.

(*In truth I could have added this as a dual vibe, but I love what it does for my G-Spot – so I’m putting it here. To watch my video review click here.)

Final Verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Shanes World Campus G ($19.99 – $29.99) (*update: no longer available)

If I told you I liked the packaging I’d be lying. Likewise, if I told you the Campus G wasn’t good at offering g-spot stimulation, I’d also be lying. Point being: never judge a vibe by it’s cover.

From its smooth and shiny waterproof outer TPE shell, to the bizarre and random little nubs at its base, the Campus G has it covered when it comes to comfortable insertion, stimulating the vulva and targeting the g-spot in a way that’s almost perfect.

Measuring 6 3/4″ in total length, with 3″ meant for insertion, it’s the smallest of the 5 (in this post), though it’s definitely not the thinnest, coming in with a 4.4″ girth at its widest part. Insertion is rather comfortable due to the rounded tip and targeting the g-spot is easy with its perfect shape for applying pressure.

As for the firmness, it comes in somewhere between the Platinum Butterfly Kiss and Slimline G, having a curved tip that’s somewhat squishy, yet maintaining a firm outer shell that isn’t very flexible. In my experiences it’s been a rather nice combination of the features offered with the other two products, while still having some special features of its own (ahhh, that lovely bizarre shaped base).

When it comes to cleaning simply wash it with soap and water or spray it with toy cleaner. As for lube, I’d also suggest a good water based one.

*Because the Campus G works like the Slimline G, via a dial on the bottom, controlling the speeds is very easy.

The downfalls: Requires 2 AA batteries, doesn’t have any special vibrational patterns and is rather loud.

Final Verdict: 4 stars out of 5

Lia Magic Wand ($39.99 – $59.99)

When I first got my hands on the Lia I thought it would let me down. Like many Cal Exotics products, this pretty pink g-spot vibe came packaged in a cheap and flimsy transparent box that looked like it would fall apart the moment it was removed. And while I said you shouldn’t judge a vibe by its cover, sometimes I just can’t help myself. (force of habit I guess)

Quite surprisingly the Lia Magic Wand (no affiliation with the Hitachi Magic Wand) is stronger than some of the higher priced vibes I’ve tried, and also surprisingly, much better quality. Made of silicone (it passed the flame test) and velvety smooth to the touch, Lia has a relatively thin girth compared to the others (only 3.8″) and measures 8 1/2″ in total length with 6 1/2″ of that being insertable.

As for vibrational functions, there are 10 in total that vary from 3 speeds to various escalations and pulsations, all of which are managed from 2 buttons located on the bottom; one for turning it on and quickly off, and another for running through the settings.

Aside from the ‘body safe’ materials, ease of use and lovely design the product has one more thing going for it; I’ve often found that when it comes to affordable products that come with various vibration speeds many of them either die very quickly (batteries, how I loathe them) or somehow lose strength the further you go through the settings. That of course isn’t to mention the fact that most also have the mechanical part in the bottom causing the vibration to fade as it’s carried throughout the shaft. Fortunately the Lia Magic Wand has the vibration right in the tip (no pun intended) so you feel it directly on the g-spot…and it doesn’t lose power when experimenting.

Since Lia is made of silicone I’d only suggest a good water based lube as a silicone lube would likely ruin it. As for cleaning, you can wash it with soap and water or give it a once over with toy cleaner.

The downfall: the head is rather flexible which could make applying pressure a tad difficult.

Final Verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars

 Royal Princess: ($46.88 – $69.99)

After experiencing what the previous product could do I had very high expectations for the Royal Princess. How could I not, it’s a relatively similar design and made by the same company.  I also had high expectations due to the fact that it was from the Sue Johanson product line and endorsed by a woman who heavily influenced my sexual education as a teen through her “Sunday Night Sex Show” television program. I hate to say it but after testing it (a few times for fairness) I sit sadly on the fence.

On the one hand it’s made from TPR making it smooth, somewhat squishy, a little flexible and very comfortable during insertion. It also has a nice curved neck that hugs the g-spot and retains enough firmness to apply pressure, while also being waterproof. On the other hand, it has a very weak vibe especially when compared to the other 4 products and even more so when compared to all of the products I’ve reviewed – yes, I mean that.  Sure, it has 7 vibrational functions that offer a variety, but when you can’t really feel them that doesn’t make much difference. Aside from that, it’s a little awkward to use as the buttons are very small and located on the bottom which makes hitting the off button by accident a frequent annoyance.

Of course I completely understand that some women don’t like strong vibrations, and that the old adage ‘less is more’ can often be true. Sadly for me it’s not, which is why I find myself sitting on the fence. That in mind, if you want a g-spot vibrator that isn’t overly powerful I suggest you try this one over the others. You likely won’t be disappointed.

Like the others you can clean it with soap and water or toy cleaner, and as for lubricant, I’d suggest a good water based one.

Final Verdict: 3.5 out of 5 stars
